Day 7: June 7, 2004
Kobe Science Museum
We spent a good part of our last full day in Japan packing for the trip home, but we did take time to visit the Kobe Science Museum on Port Island. The museum has a wide variety of exhibits related to nature, technology, the human body, and many other topics. It's a great place for kids. Becca even had her picture painted by a singing robot. OK, the singing got a little bit annoying after a while, and the picture wasn't a very good likeness, but it was still fun to watch.

Harborland
Harborland is a waterfront shopping mall and amusement park in Kobe. The kids got to enjoy a rollercoaster, Ferris wheel, and haunted house. The Ferris wheel was actually a fairly big one, and the car that we rode was all glass, so we had a great view of the city at the top. Sorry, no pictures! Mark was sick of playing photographer at this point.
